A Bit of News

Your Beeswax has returned to California!

This has meant a big of lag time in projects, but we've got some exciting things in the works that may interest you. Here's a little list.

CHAIN POEMS, by Steve Kramp

A chapbook of poems from the panting prince. The packaging will be a new dimension in packaging poems unpacking themselves.

PINK JOSE, by Scott Inguito and Jared Stanley

A tribute to the crabbed and winging mule mage Jose Lezama Lima. A vision of one day.

In addition, Your Beeswax will produce a one-off journal by the name of MRS. MAYBE. That magazine, when and if, will feature works from your favorite Your Beeswax writers and some who perchance to cling to us forthrightly.

And maybe, someday, the true appearance of SPECTRES, the Blue Oyster Cult anthology.

More Soon,
Your Beeswax

the maybook

This beautiful thing is the brand new book from Catherine Theis, "The Maybook." 9 poems that veer with rhymes into a logic of spring. They are "patient with the intelligences" as one of these short, untitled pieces would have it. The book was produced directly from Ms. Theis' typescript, the idea being to preserve the immediacy of thought/feeling in them, which, of course, is the immediacy of skin in commerce with spring air, lava, birdsong, and poison ivy.

The book's release coincides with the month of the title, so hurry on up pardner, and get yerself a copy b4 yer left naked on a corner confronted by a lilac tree. "The Maybook" is truly a guide for the perplexities of May.

March 05 News

Your Beeswax is currently seeking subscriptions for the upcoming year's projects.

Here's the story. $30 dollars entitles you to 2 chapbooks and 2 broadsides annually. I'll mail them to you, and you'll love the shit, really.

Our first title for 2005 will be Catherine Theis' fabulous suite of poems called "The Maybook." For those of you who've got seasonal affective disorder, this lil book will be just like a Spring Line for the soul. This book will be ready just in time for that magic month, and in preparation, I'd like to get orders and figure out where and how many to send.

Plans are in the works for a fall 2005 Chapbook title, and the broadsides are dependent on local (which means, for 2005 at least, SF/Bay Area readings)- That alone should promise an interesting bit o' work.

please email me if you want to complain, or laugh at our ambition, but we're gonna do this thing, and it's gonna be very nice and fun for Godde's sake.

and please remember, the following are still available:

"Measuring Daylight With a Stick" which, in a James Laughlin/Doug Messerli move, is
by the publisher, Jared S.

"Adventures" by Lauren Levin - a pair of long/short poems which involves Lutefisk puns.

"Black Box" by S. Kramp. A broadside done from Krampton's April 2004 reading. Beautiful example of Steve's "Chain poems."

Send us cash! we need it!
