steve, i guess you're in iowa city now. i don't think you'll ever read this, but it's jerit fourman, from springtime 1995 in carson hall at university of oregon, where i was playing the electric organ in one of the student lounges there and met you; and from november 2000, at a basement houseparty in portland, where we caught up a little . . .
i had some roommates in 1998 who were from iowa city, craig zeiggenhorn (sp?) great guitar player, and pierre tannous - great drummer, and this ian dude who played bass - they were a band. they came out to seattle, where i still regrettably am, but i think they all got into heroin after a few years...
you know allison williams? she was the friend in portland who took me to the house party... she made me a copy of your "diablo" album - which i tried listening to right away but due to my strict melodic requirements utterly failed to appreciate... until now.
just writing to let you know i'm in the clear finally. took 30 years. man i can hardly believe how confused i was!
hope people are less confused in iowa city. if you run into craig or pierre, perchance, tell 'em hi for me.
